Storyboard (Animatic)

With our initial ideas we began to mock up our story board, we decided to introduce an opening scene with a red letter falling through the letterbox in a door, the letter would say "Marked on it" and would introduce us to our film title, the red can also represent allot such as violence and horror, creating a effect with the theme of our introduction. Taking it further, we made the introduction a sequence of short attacks jumping from different parts of the body, being attacked and grabbed, to reveal the abduction, then the initial falling of the ipod is shown, this then cuts to the mother grieving in the interrogation room muttering "i just want my kids back" while crying. In then jumps to a shoe in the grass on the front of the camera, and the light of the police mens torches shinning the background, at night in a large field. This creates the realization that the kid may be dead, and creates suspension. We are then presented with the family at a dinner table with the Dad slamming his hand on the table and ranting, unable to cope with the tension within the family, and storming off. We are then diverted back to the ipod falling, with the cracked screen, while being rained on.
