Animatic

We were given the task of creating a animatic, this is a mock up of our final film, where we apply potential effects to a slideshow of our story board, it helps us to establish the continuity of our potential shots, and how the sound/effects will coincide with them effectively, and most importantly will give us a idea of what the the film will look like. And what we can change.

With our Storyboard created we decided to work on the effects that we would input into piece.

Sound:
-Non diegetic track. Eery music creating the mood that we want.
-Footsteps, and fight noises. Used for our kidnapping sequence. To create realism.
-"I just want my kid back" quote, for the mother in the interrogation room scene
-Shouting police man, dog barks, and Field Ambience grass rustling etc, for the police search scene.
-Slamming on the table, ambience possible dialogue in the dinner table scene.
-Rain drop ambience and the crack+fall of the ipod for the last scene, ipod falling

Editing:
-fast pace shots, showing enough to see what's happening in the abduction scene
-Fade into the abduction scene, additional dark lighting to create a dark mood.
-Fade into the police search scene Create continuity
-Fade into the Dinner table scene create continuity
-Fade into the final scene create continuity
-fade out of the final scene, very slowly.

Taking photographs of each frame, we placed them into adobe premier, and placed them together adding in our effects and creating our animatic.

Comments on initial animatic:
-Excellent Sketches
-Good use of angles +Editing/fades
-More variety needed within scenes, incorporate 2-3 scenes for each sheet.

Mum in room scene (Perhaps needs a zoom)
Dinner Table Scene (Perhaps -close ups on anger development and crashing fist)

Needs some development of scenes particularly flashback.
effective music, good contrast idea.
Some use of diegetic sound added - Need to add more.
Good use of lighting.

We now need to get together a list of locations, Actors and a shooting schedule
